Hunting trips are as old as human life.

man practiced hunting since immemorial ages, searching for food, defending himself, or seeking sport and pleasure.

the Arab in the Arabian Peninsula relied on hunting, for the previous reasons, either for self-defense, entertainment, or searching for food, and thus hunting became one of the most popular activities in daily life.

hence, it had be included among the poetic purposes addressed by the poets' poems, as it formed part of the ancient Arabic poetry.

Andalusians shared with their eastern fellows their passion for hunting, as it was a way for them to have fun and amusement, especially since Andalusia had become rich, which enabled its people to spend money for this kind of entertainment the topic that we intend to study is “hunting trips in Andalusian poetry,” and this topic is about extrapolating the scenery of the hunting picture documented by the Andalusian poets, describing its components and the semantic and aesthetic dimensions it contained, and analyzing the artistic and rhetorical characteristics that distinguish it.

the importance of the study is evident in its understanding of what is related to the Andalusian hunting in terms of: the hunter, the narrator, time, place, purpose, tools, animals, birds, and the role of poetry in depicting and documenting this art.
