Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the reality of volunteering in the Saudi society and the mechanisms of promoting future vision, spreading the culture of volunteering and activating the Saudi society to reach one million volunteers according to Vision 2030, which aims to attract volunteers to achieve the most important mechanisms that organize volunteer work and its development.

The study is descriptive using the social survey methodology to collect data by questionnaire on a sample of volunteers in charitable societies in addition to the interview manual.

The study found that the culture of volunteering has spread in the following fields: social, health, environmental, crisis and disaster, and finally the field of education.

In terms of mechanisms, attention is paid to follow up, supervise and regulate the relations between the parties to volunteer work.

The study recommended the importance of spreading the culture of voluntary work at the level of individuals, families and media institutions, and at the level of government and the institution to achieve the objectives of the vision.
