The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of flipped learning using the Edmodo educational platform in developing science processes and e-learning skills in biology for firstyear secondary students in Jordan.

To achieve the aims of the study, a quasi-experimental approach was used.

The two study tools were: a test to measure science processes consisting of (22) multiple-choice paragraphs and a scale for measuring e-learning skills consisting of (21) paragraphs, after confirming their validity and reliability.

The sample of the study consisted of (62) students.

The study members were intentionally chosen from a government school in the school year 2019/2020 in the capital, Amman and were randomly assigned to two groups: The first group was an experimental group consisting of (31) students who studied using flipped learning by the Edmodo educational platform, while the second groups was a control group consisting of (31) students who studied in the usual way The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the science processes’ test, in favor of the experimental group that studied flipped learning using the Edmodo educational platform compared to the control group that studied in the usual way.

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in e-learning skills between the estimates of students who studied flipped learning using the Edmodo educational platform compared to the control group that studied in the usual way.

The study recommended several recommendations, the most prominent of these recommendations was: the importance of using the Edmodo educational platform in biology teaching.
