The research paper aims to assess the implications of the parallel economy on the effectiveness of the government subsidies, as the basic concepts of the parallel economy and government subsidies were identified, as well as the negative and positive effects of the parallel economy and the role in impeding the effectiveness of the government subsidies, analyzing the results of the supplicant, and we followed in that a descriptive approach analytical.

the study concluded that the parallel economy has a significant negative impact on the efficiency of government subsidies, which is represented in impeding it to achieve price stability, to achieve a minimum level of food and social justice, and to distort the economic indicators adopted to achieve economic stability, and its inefficiency in allocating economic resources, protecting the local product.

we suggested controlling distribution outlets, reforming subsidies, and adopting a direct cash subsidies policy.
