Abstract EN

The Study aimed at recognizing the relationship between the vocational adjustment among the principals of Gaza secondary schools and the conflict management methods they use , identifying the level of that vocational adjustment, and revealing the relative importance of the widespread fields of the conflict management methods .

It also aimed to identify the differences in the levels of the vocational adjustment among the principals according to gender variable. The study sample consisted of (120) (male and female) principals from Gaza governorates secondary schools.

The study concluded that there was a good level of vocational adjustment among the principals of Gaza secondary schools; 84.934% for the professional and behavioral growth, 79.33% for the social relations, 70.598% for the emotional equilibrium, 70.598% for selfsatisfaction , so the total degree was 76.284% .

The study also showed that the cooperation field was the most widely used by the principals, as it got 83.8%, then the rest of the fields of the conflict management methods were ranked as the following: 80.134,% for the settlement field, 72.234% for the appeasement field, 59.9 for the competition field , and58.566% for the avoidance field. Moreover, the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the principals with low vocational adjustment and the principals with high vocational adjustment in the use of cooperation and settlement methods in favor of the principals with high vocational adjustment, where as there were no statistically significant differences between them in the total degree and the use of avoidance, competition, and self satisfaction methods.

In addition, there were no statistically significant differences in the level of vocational adjustment due to gender variable.
