This paper aims to reach to understanding the reality of press and media freedom in Algerian media institutions and the nature of the obstacles that stand in their way to limit their expansion, tagged "freedom of the press and the media under the organic law 2012 and the audiovisual control law 2014", included the freedom of the press and the media in the world and the freedom of the press and the media in Algeria is a special manner.

the issue of this paper focused for freedom of the press and the media in Algeria through the organic media law and the audiovisual control authority law, by conducting a survey field study using the survey method with the questionnaire tool (30 forms) distributed to the journalists in press and the Algerian media institutions (public and private).
