Unlike previous experiences, contemporary poetry is characterized by its own style in creating meaning.

What distinguishes this style is the condensation of meaning, in a way that makes the silence more dominant than the words of the poet.

In this research we aim to present a reading of the poetic silence in AHMAD EL MAJJATI.

And we concluded that EL MAJJATI used silence in its poetic sense both at the lexical and semantic levels.
