This study aims to highlight the most important of green hotels as a tool to achieve sustainable tourism by presenting experiences from various countries with a focus on both the Proximity Hotel in the United States of America and the Jumeirah Vithaveli Hotel in the Republic of the Maldives.

The Proximity Hotel is the first hotel in North America to be awarded the LEED Platinum certification and the Jamira vitaveli Hotel was classified as one of the most sustainable places by the company Green Globe
