This study came to reveal the role of social studies in developing the spirit of citizenship among students from the point of view of teachers of social subjects in the averages, in which the descriptive and analytical method was used, and a questionnaire was designed for the role of social materials in developing the spirit of citizenship among students, and it was distributed to a sample of 80 Professor and professor of social subjects in intermediate education, and to process data statistically, the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation were relied on to know the importance of the role of social studies in developing the spirit of citizenship.

From the point of view of teachers of social subjects in the mediums, and therefore social studies has a great role in developing the spirit of citizenship among students, and the study concluded that social studies are one of the necessities needed by contemporary societies to promote and develop a culture of sound citizenship and build a good citizen.
