Use of langmuir equation to determine phosphorus supplying parameters in calcareous soil in Middle of Iraq

Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to investigate of Phosphorus supplying parameters by using mechanism of sorption phenomena in calcareous soil from Baghdad province in middle of Iraq and it is classified to level sub great group (Calci camborthids ).

The experiment was conducted by using different levels of Phosphorus solution (0, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, and 640) µg P ml-1 as KH2PO4 under isotherm reaction (298oK) using batch technique.

The adsorption values were described by using Langmuir equation to find Phosphors supplying parameters.

The results showed the concentration of adsorption were increased by increasing of Phosphorus levels which were added to the soil.

According to Langmuir equation using on the studied soil, values of the maximum adsorption of Phosphorus (Xm), Bonding energy (kL), MBC, RL and, Phosphors supplying parameters (SP) were 44.6 mg kg -1, 26.94 L mg-1, 125 mg Kg-1, 0.09, 0.035 respectively and the adsorption process was spontaneous.
