Abstract EN

Information technology now leads all institutions in their various sectors, In particular libraries and information institutions.

Many researches have confirmed that many IT projects in libraries do not achieve satisfactory results compared to the enormous potential spent on them, which made them merely initiatives to implement technology only.

This research attempts to provide some Theoretical perceptions about the important role of IT governance in the optimal control and performance of IT in libraries.

In order to do this, we relied on the documentary approach through accurate collection of documents about the subject and analyzing them to reach conclusions related to the research issue.
