The study aimed to identify the relationship between the flexible manufacturing strategy and achieving competitive excellence in fertilizer and chemical companies in Egypt in the public and private sectors (Delta Fertilizer Company - Mopco Fertilizer Company - Nasr Fertilizer Company - and Suez Fertilizer Company), where the researcher made a comparison between public sector companies, And the private sector in the field under study in terms of the number of employees, the size of profits, and production for both public and private sector companies.

The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: - There is a relationship between the flexible manufacturing strategy and achieving competitive excellence in fertilizer and chemical companies in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as there is a positive impact of the flexible manufacturing strategy on achieving competitive excellence.

The study also presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: - The necessity to provide the basic elements necessary for the implementation of the flexible manufacturing strategy to efficiently (flexibility of size, flexibility of material handling, flexibility of mix, flexibility of expansion) in order to achieve competitive excellence in fertilizer and chemical companies in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as these elements are considered among the most important elements that must be provided in those Companies.
