Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to determine the extent to which the Algeria monetary policy and its use of its instruments contribute to stability of the financial system, due to the liquidity crisis experienced by the economy as a result of low oil prices starting in 2014 significantly.

The analysis showed the traditional intruments used by the Bank of Algeria did not achieve enough liquidity needed by the economy to manage it, The deteriorating situation and the continued deficit in both the balance of payments and the balance sheet of the government contributed to the decision of the Algerian government, Anew tool, quantitative easing, has already been implemented for the first time in Algeria for additional liquidity and improved economic conditions.
