Abstract EN
Within English sounds we have two sciences which are phonetics and phonology.
Phonetics is concerned with the study of speech sounds and their production while phonology is concerned with the study of the sound system of particular language.
English has 44 phonemes, 24 consonants and 20 vowels.
Consonants can be articulated in one of two ways: partial or complete vocal organ blockage.
The closing movement may engage the tongue, lips or throat.
This research sheds light on coronal consonants which are those sounds that made by lifting the blade from its neutrals position and why coronal consonants are different from other sounds.
Also how these sounds affect vowels and consonants
