Abstract EN

The purpose of this research is to provide an investigation of Ibn Tulun’s treatise entitled Ifādat Al-Rā’im li Masā’il Al-Nā’im.

It consists of two main parts.

The first part, i.e.

the theoretical part, includes an introduction and two sections.

The introduction presents the topic of the manuscript, its importance, reasons for its selection, its objectives, etc.

The first section presents a review of the author.

The second section introduces the treatise with regard to its author, its content, and the author’s approach.

The second section, i.e.

the practical part, includes a description of the manuscript, the method of investigation and the text under investigation.

Both the descriptive and the analytical approaches were used in this research.

The findings of the research show that Ibn Tulun's interest is not restricted to the rulings of sleeping during prayer, but it extends to various jurisprudential rulings such as Hajj, fasting, sexual intercourse, etc.

It also highlights his profound knowledge in medicine, lexicography, history as well as in jurisprudence.
