Abstract EN

This research aims to highlight the contributions of Ibn Uthaymeen to the study of calamities and incidents in society through investigating the doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects of his dealing with epidemiological issues, and relying on the inductive and analytical approaches in the study of his books and fatwas.

The research was divided into four major sections: the first section presented the general aspects manifesting Ibn Uthaymeen’s concern and approach in dealing with epidemiological issues, and the other sections investigated his doctrinal and jurisprudential principles adopted in dealing with these issues.

The research shows that Ibn Uthaymeen is one of the greatest contemporary scholars who devoted great attention to the issues of epidemic diseases, and that he is one of the leading scholars who kept pace with the development of terminology related to epidemiology.

In addition to his great care of and attention to linking issues of doctrine with the calamities of epidemics, his role in clarifying them and removing confusion from people's beliefs is undeniable.
