The main purpose of this case study is to reflect on EFL school learners' attitudes towards the efficacy of corpus-based instruction in the acquisition of functional lexical bundles.
Seven Egyptian EFL school learners participated in this study and expressed their views about the new teaching and learning experience of lexical bundles after finishing a ten-week English course.
During this period, the 7 students studied selected and filtered printed out concordances, under the guidance of their teacher, to acquire fifteen functional lexical bundles.
The researcher held one whole group interview with the participants after they had finished the course.
The data taken from the interview was qualitatively analyzed to denote three main themes about the effectiveness of corpus instruction in the acquisition of lexical bundles, in addition to the problems they had encountered during the course, and the recommendations they offered for enhancing the new learning experience.
Results showed that all learners had positive attitudes towards the efficiency of corpus-based instruction as a successful means of teaching and learning the targeted lexical bundles
