Abstract EN

The article discusses the French promotion of the Macronian estrangement policy in Franco-African relations with the policy that has governed and guided these relations since the period of decolonisation.

The central idea of the article is to present these breakthrough attempts with reference to the different levels that articulate this policy.

Then test aspects of continuity and change in these relationships.

To this end, the problem is centered around the levels through which the Macronian rupture manifests itself.

The study adopted an inductive approach to the state of Franco-African relations since Macron's arrival at the Elysee Palace.

The study found that despite the strength of the symbolic signals and the promotional campaign that accompanied the launch of the idea of rupture with this French policy towards Africa, the manifestations of continuity outweigh and strongly overcome the manifestations of change and estrangement.
