Abstract EN

The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed teaching model for teaching mathematics based on the theory of successful intelligence for developing spatial thinking and mathematical literacy for second-year secondary school students.

To achieve this goal; the researcher prepared the proposed teaching model, the student's book for the selected units (Geometry and Measurement), and the teacher's guide in light of the proposed teaching model; and selected the research sample, which was represented by: (58) students of the second-year secondary students, and was divided into two groups: the experimental group consisted of (30) students and was taught according to the proposed teaching model, while the control group consisted of (28) students and was taught according to the traditional way.

The research relied on two tools: the spatial thinking test and the mathematical literacy test.

The two tools were applied to the experimental and control groups before and after the research experiment.
