our primary aim is to study the relationship between achievement motivation and success in the baccalaureate exam, On the other hand we are interested by the rapport between state-trait anxiety and Success at the same exam, we have adopted the correlative descriptive approach to conduct a follow-up longitudinal study (during the school year and after passing the baccalaureate exam) for the third year secondary students who belong three secondary schools in algers (omar racim, el-idrissi, ibn-enass), the study sample included 200 students aged between 16 and 20 years, both the Hearmans achievement motivation scale and the spielberger trait-state anxiety scale were applied to them, one of our results confirm the implication of the boths variables in school success and improving the learner's academic effectiveness.
