The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of personality variables on the prediction of foremen’s strain at the National Organization of Industrial Vehicles.
A study sample of one hundred and fourteen supervisors was chosen in order to check the hypotheses of the study.
Scales of type A behaviour and internal locus of control were devised and implemented to subjects.
The major findings of the study could be summarized as follows: _ Coefficients of multiple correlation regarding personality variables were fairly and significantly moderate, and these were only for anxiety, depression and psychosomatic complaints.
_ Coefficient of multiple correlation regarding personality variables was not significant for job unsatisfaction .
_ Percentages related to predicted variance (R2) vary from 2% (predicted variance for job unsatisfaction) to 10% (predicted variance for anxiety).
_ Anxiety indicator was positively predicted by type A behavior and negatively predicted by internal locus of control
