Abstract EN

Given the importance of the legal confrontation of terrorist acts, and due to the harm they cause to society and its citizens, many countries have included in their legislation a strategy related to combating terrorist acts in order to protect their interests at home and abroad.

Therefore, the United Arab Emirates issued a Decree Law No.

1 of 2004 concerning the combat of the phenomenon of terrorism, followed by the issuance of Federal Law No.

7 of 2014 on combating terrorist crimes.

It is important to study the strategy adopted by the federal legislator to combat terrorist acts, whose importance is reflected in the legislator’s attitude towards the problem of terrorism.

This study examines federal law No 7 of 2014, and it is divided into three main sections.

The first section discusses criminal labiality for terrorist offences in federal law, while the second section addresses the federal legislature’s penal policy in countering terrorist crime.

The third section, on the other hand, deals with the procedural rules that deal with terrorist crime in federal law.
