Abstract EN

This study aims to stand on the construction of the poetic image in Jordanian poetry, as the methods for building this image diversified, creating aesthetic, poetic and psychological connotations that contributed to the enrichment of the poetic text, through multiple displacements that created a semantic and aesthetic tension, with which the recipient participated in the poet’s experience, vision, and position.

The study came in three axes after a theoretical preparation.

The first one dealt with the simple poetic image, as this image was adopted with multiple techniques such as correspondence of the senses, diagnosis and embodiment or the so-called exchange of perceptions and direct analogy, then the composite image, such as generation and accumulation, and the image with color significance (color image) , The graphic paradox.
