Abstract EN

This study is included in “Diactology” which is related to descriptive linguistics.

It studies the rule of “T” inflection in the modern spoken dialect in Nablus and its relationship with the old Arabic dialects through comparing this inflection with the reading of Al- Kisa’e, which is one of the correct readings reported from Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) read by Ibn Masoud and taught to people.

In this study, two methods are employed, namely: descriptive and historical.

After that, the researcher has analyzed the data in order to get accurate results through which some of the phonetic characteristics of the dialect of Nablus can be explained.

Also, they are employed to indicate that this dialect goes back to Arabic tribes coming from the Levant
