Abstract EN

This Study attempts to know the impact of the Syrian youth refuge in Jordan on the crystallization of their national identity, from three main axes: social relations, social formation, and national concerns.

The study sample consisted of (215) youth residing in Al- Za'atari camp-Jordan.

The study employed the descriptive approach, as it is a basic pillar in sample social survey.

The data that were collected from respondents relied on a questionnaire sheet, which included paragraphs of the previous three axes.

It was executed from January to august, 2018.The results showed, in crystallizing the national identity of Syrian youth, that there is a high impact of the three concerns, first the national concern, secondly the socialization, and finally the social relation concern.

The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences to the impact of the Syrian youth refuge in Jordan on the crystallizing of their national identity, attributed to the variables of: age, level of education, number of family members, length of stay inside the camp, nature of work inside the camp, and the monthly income of the family.

Based on the results that the study showed, it recommends activating the role of the sides concerned with the Syrian refugees' affaires in Al- Za'tari camp especially the young in order to improve their cultural, social, personal and economic situations to enable them to face the challenges of national identity and its crisis.
