In most investment contracts which concluded between the host country and the foreign investor, the requirement of legislative stability is included.

However, there is an intensification of conflict among different interests of the host country and foreign investors in light of the globalization of the economy and the unification of the international rules applicable to investments, especially in the field of protection and guarantees.

In addition, it leads to the attempt to apply the rules of international law to the State's contracts, although one of its parties does not initially belong to this law.

All this leads to study the issue of establishing the requirement of legislative stability in investment contracts, and then determining the effectiveness of this condition in reconciling the principle of the sanctity of the contract with the principle of state sovereignty.
