The strikes of the working class in most industrial sectors in Iraq were the biggest challenge of the Government of Arshad Al-Omari, especially the strike of kirkuk oil workers to increase the size of the gap between the ruling authority and the Iraqi Oil Company towards workers in Kirkuk, in the implementation of their demands, which boiled down to increasing wages and improving living conditions.

The police made a serious mistake by shooting striking workers, and after that the issue of the strike of kirkuk oil workers turned into a national and popular issue, despite the government of Omari investigating and revealing those involved, but their leadership in the direction of the pressures of British politics, disrupted those measures, the political parties were not only exposing the policy of the authority through its press and demanding the detection of the perpetrators and forcing the government to resign, as a result of which Rushed al-Omari was forced to resign and accepted by the guardian under the pressure of labor strikes and movements and political parties.
