All countries have tried to obtain suitable strength so as to be saved from danger.

Such countries tried hard to gain various types of weapons depending on their circumstances.

The Persian paid much attention to elephants for they provide the battle with success tools.

Thus, elephants were regarded as the pillage of the Persian army in Ajisr battle in 13 A.

especially after their loss in Dhat As Salaasil battle with Muslims in 12 A.

as they began preparing for a decisive battle to stop the progress of Muslims.

So they won the battle they are seeking for Muslims were not, at that time, trained to go through elephant fighting battles.

Such fighting put Muslims horses to be frightened and ran away leaving fighters behind.

This situation weakened fighters and many of them martyred including Aba Obaid Ben Masoud Ath Thiqafi and his brother Al Hakam.

Theses events filled the Persians with self confidence thinking that they would gain more battles.
