Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to identify the training needs of teachers in the faculties of education in the light of developments in educational technology from the viewpoint of the faculty members.

The research community consisted of (523) teaching and teaching staff from the faculties of education at the University of Basra, and the exploratory research sample amounted to (100) teaching and teaching.

As for the research sample, it was randomly selected and amounted to (400) teaching and teaching staff.

The research tool was represented by the questionnaire, and the number of its paragraphs was (50) paragraphs, and the researchers extracted its validity and stability, and the following statistical methods were adopted: (percentage, Pearson correlation coefficient, arithmetic mean, standard deviation The research concluded the faculty members in the colleges of education at the University of Basra, most of them have a high need for training in all fields, especially in the field of computer skills.

There are no significant differences in training needs in the light of educational technology developments according to the gender variable
