Abstract EN

Determining the primary stress in a word is one of the major challenges that face foreign learners of English.

This research aims at using Kiparsky's lexical morphology model in teaching syllable stress rules to non- native speakers of English.

This model is applied on a tutorial video that teaches primary stress rules in English.

The present paper attempts to prove the significance of using Kiparsky's model in teaching stress and accounts for the explanation of primary stress rules.
