The present study aimed at identifying the role of kindergartens in providing children with water conservation in the light of sustainable development, identifying the educational units that are taught to kindergarten children, and what implementing programs and activities to achieve sustainable development, and presenting a proposal to activate children's awareness 129 of water conservation for sustainable development.

The study used the analytical descriptive method.

The study sample consisted of (228) kindergartens teachers and 25 kindergartens (671) children were observed.

The tools of the study were a list of the water conservation skills that kindergarten children should have observation card, and a questionnaire to identify the role of kindergarten teachers in developing environmental awareness for water conservation.

The results of the study revealed that the content of the educational units that are taught in the kindergarten stage is only five of the thirteen skills that the current study aims to raise the environmental awareness among Kindergarten children.

The results of the study also confirmed that the role of the kindergarten in raising awareness about the importance of water and preserving it among kindergarten children was (medium), which is consistent with the kindergarten children's activities and awareness programs about the importance of water and maintaining it to a medium degree.

The researcher has constructed educational unit based on the content analysis card, in which the researcher was able to include within these units the 13 subjects that are included and targeted to develop the environmental awareness of kindergarten child to preserve the water.

The study recommended inviting kindergarten curriculum makers to take advantage of the proposed educational units in the development of kindergarten curricula and expand the training of kindergarten teachers to improve their teaching ability to develop environmental awareness among kindergarten children.
