The study aims at determining the extent to which the future teachers at the faculty of education of al-Aqsa university have applied the aspects of strategic planning .it also aimed to identify the reality of the practical preparation program for the teacher students at the same college, and then make sure of the level of the strategic planning access to improve the quality of the preparation program.
the researcher used the descriptive - analytical approach.
two questionnaires were used as study tools, and they were distributed to (280) employees from the supervision department, suing a comprehensive survey.
the study reached at many results; the most important of which are the following : the average assessment of the sampling of the application of the aspects of strategic planning was (2.34), which equals (78.1%) indicating a high degree.
while the average quality of the practical preparation program reached (2.31), estimated (76.9%), showing moderate level .it was also found that there was statistically significant correlation between the mean of the sample for both variables.
the most important recommendations made by the study was :the necessity of involving the employees of the educational supervision department in formulating the vision and mission, defining the department’s strategic objectives, setting its operational plans, and setting clear and specific indicators for the department’s management to ensure that the desired goals are achieved, and to seek clarity and realism when setting the objectives of the practical quality program.
