Corpulence has become a dangerous scourge in the contemporary world, and has developed into a phenomenon that is held to address scientific seminars and international conferences.

And specialized departments and clinics are held to deal with this issue.

This study came to address the issue of Corpulence by explaining its concept, degrees, causes and harms, in addition to explaining the rules of Corpulence in Islamic law, through a descriptive and analytical study based on tracking what was mentioned in the issue of Corpulence among doctors and jurists And analyzing and explaining the information obtained to reach the results.

The find out that Corpulence differs from overweight.

And that Sharia is consistent with medicine in warning against Corpulence.

It also found that the harms of Corpulence are not less than the harms of smoking, and therefore it is no less prohibited.

The study recommends the importance of enlightening the community and holding seminars in the field of Corpulence, in addition to paying attention to people who suffer from Corpulence through their participation in programs that concern with this difficult issue.
