Abstract EN

This paper entitled: "Objectives Observed in Verses Concerning Divorce; of Surat Al-Baqarah as a model through the interpretation of At-tafseer and at-tanweer", aims to deduct the legal objectives and rulings, concerning women, from the interpretation of al-Tahrirwa'l-tanwir (The Verification and Enlightenment) by Muhammad Al-Taher Ibn Ashour who was specialized in these objectives among other interpreters.

The researcher seeks to show the care and equality towards women in these Qur’anic verses, especially towards divorced women, and that one of the purposes of Islamic Sharia (Islamic law) is to give each of the spouses his/her rights, and to clarify their duties towards the other, so that the family remains in its strongest and best forms.

The Researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, the deductive approach, the comparative approach besides the analytical approach.

The research concluded a set of results and recommendations; one of the most important results is that the verses about divorce in Surat Al Baqarah takes into account the relationship between spouses, and that absolute equality between men and women cannot be achieved in all cases and rights.

As for the recommendations, the most important of them is calling scholars to further research issues related to women which are postulates in Islam and which the tendentious attempt to question.
