Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate degree to which UNRWA school principals in the Gaza governorates practice managing by values in light of the study variables (gender, academic qualification, years of service).

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive-analytical approach.

a questionnaire was used to measure the degree of the practice of the UNRWA school principals in the Gaza governorates managing by values.

this questionnaire consisted of three domains.

the study population consisted of all the UNRWA male and female school teachers in all the southern governorates, who according to the UNRWA official records, were (2859) male and female teachers.

the study sample consisted of (383) male and female teachers.

the study reached several results, the most important of which are : 1.

the degree of the principals of the UNRWA schools in the Gaza governorates was high (81.80%).2.

there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance between the average scores of the sample of the study sample to the degree of the principals of the UNRWA schools in the Gaza governorates for managing by values due to the gender variable for the females.

differences due to the variable of scientific qualification for the bachelor's degree, years of service, where differences were found between those whose years of service were less than (5) years and whose years of service were (5-less than10 years) in favor of those whose years of service were (5-less than10 years), while there were no differences between those years of service (5-less than10 years) serving (10) years and more.

the main recommendation of the study is the use of administrative values as one of the recruitment criteria for school staff, led by managers.
