Abstract EN

Nowadays famine is one of the most severe problems that people face as it moves from one country to another and it is due to either draught or human cruelty.

Consequently, millions of people die with no attention, which made me write about this serious issue.

Here I intend to uncover the approach that Omar bin AlKhattab, Commander of the faithful, followed in resolving the famine phenomenon at his time.

My current research is entitled; "Omar bin AlKhattab approach in fighting famine: an objective study of what occurred in the year of Ramadah".

The study which followed the historical approach included an introduction and six chapters: Chapter One is about the basic requirements, Chapter Two is about the general requirements, Chapter Three is about external and internal assistance, Chapter Four included the precautionary steps, Chapter Five is relief, and Chapter six is Crisis Groups.

The necessity of early cooperation between the government and its people and the governments themselves as well as the good intentions to work hard and reliance on Allah are among the study results.
