The research discussed the problem of the debt incurred by Iraq due to its escalating borrowing during the past four decades as a result of the circumstances it passed through.

The research dealt with the origins and development of the Iraqi debt and the challenges it faces, whether external or internal.

The research also presented tables and figures related to government debt, its service and what it constitutes from government expenditures, and then touched upon the causes of the exacerbation of debts on Iraq.

The research made use of a number of sources and studies and reached a number of results that helped reach to a number of suggestions.
