Abstract EN

This Study deals with the religious and political activity of Assayed Talib al- I Refae, shedding light on his knowledge and social beginnings and roots in Refai city, south of Iraq.

and his repeated tries to join the scientific Hawza in Iraq, until living in Najaf to Study.

The Study focused on moÅt political and thoughtful changes which he has passed in Najaf, and the reasons behind these changes.

The Study also discussed his success to make bridges of communication with Sunni movements in Iraq, and his important role in spreading the concepts of po- litical Islam among Shiites, and his axial role in finding the most dominant Shiitic Islamic organization, "al-Dawa" Islamic party.

Also his kinetic activity within Sayid Mohsin al-Hakeem's Hawza, the biggeQ chancellor in Islamic Shiite world society, and most interactional with political and social events in Iraq, and representing it in different cities in and out of Iraq.

In addition to his active role in the line of group scientiÅts, "Jamaat al-Ulamaa", also this Study reveals his doctrine and political at- titudes towards secular parties and organizations, as one of founders of radical po- litical Islam, such as Communist party and Baath party, in addition to his attitude toward political events in Iraq through all his activities periods (1950-1969).
