This body is called the central bank.

The central bank takes the necessary measures to extricate the country from the distress of financial crises by applying a specific monetary policy commensurate with the size of the imbalances.

Reaching monetary stability that directly contributes to solving the financial crisis.

Before the bank undertakes its tasks in finding appropriate solutions, it must first search for the causes that led to the occurrence of financial problems, and then try to address these problems and then find appropriate solutions.

The role of the Central Bank in solving financial crises was stipulated by the Iraqi legislator according to the text of Article (3) of the Central Bank of Iraq Law No.

(56) for the year (2004) in which it stated.

"The main objectives of the Iraqi Central Bank include achieving stability in local prices and working to maintain order A stable financial system based on competition in the market, and the Central Bank of Iraq, in line with the aforementioned goals, works to promote sustainable development, provide job opportunities and achieve prosperity in Iraq.

'This text clearly indicates that the Iraqi legislamre has granted the Central Bank the authority to find solutions it deems sufficient to solve this crisis .
