Domestic workers have contributed to the increase of women's participation in the development of the economy, as this type of work is practiced by a large percentage of women, which requires special protection for this vulnerable group.
At the international level, there are a number of international conventions and treaties that aim at empowering and protecting domestic workers, both in particular and in general.
The international legal arsenal has led many countries to draft national legislation to regulate and protect domestic workers.
Morocco is among the countries that have developed a national law framing this category,namely Dahir No.
1.16.121 issued on 6 Dhu'l-Qi'dah 1437 (August 10, 2016), by implementing Law No.
19.12 on the conditions of work and employment of domestic workers

Dans le monde , il existe un nombre important de travailleurs domestiques .
Ce type de travail a joué un rôle capital dans l’accroissement d la participation des femmes au développement de l’économie.
Ce qui a posé la nécessité d’encadrer cette catégorie vulnérable.
Au niveau international, plusieurs instruments ont opté de manière directe ou indirecte pour encadrer et protéger les travailleurs domestiques.
Ces derniers ont poussé plusieurs pays à adopter une loi protectrice afin de garantir les droits des travailleurs domestiques .
Le Maroc a été parmi ces pays qui ont veillé à avoir une loi nationale qui encadre cette catégorie , il s’agit du Dahir n 1-16-121 du 10 aout 2016 portant promulgation de la loi n 19-12 relative aux conditions de travail et d’emploi des travailleuses et travailleurs domestiques
