Abstract EN

The study aimed to follow the Ottoman campaingn on the Asir and the internal and external factors that helped its success, with a presentation of its most important consequences.

This is an attempt to find out the causes of the fall of the Asir region when the Ottoman Empire sent its campaign on it.I divided the subject into four axis.

The first axis is an introduction to the study which began with a geographical introduction to Asir region and its tribes.

Also included historical overview of the region and internal problems in the region before the campaingn.

The second axis included the internal and external factors that encouraged the Ottoman empire to send the campaign, and the importance of Asir for the ottoman Empire.

The third axis, which explained the role of local forces in the success of the compaign and the positions of the sheikhs of the compaign, I also included the process of the compaign in the region of Asir until the arrival of Rida and the elimination of the ebnAa’id and his banner.

The fourth axis, I explained the result of campaign on Asir and its turned into an Ottoman Muthasrafiya.

I also discussed its administrative, political, military, and economic conditions.

Finally then I talked about the evacuation of the Ottomans from Asir.

The aim of this study was to unveil some of the events in that period and to give a clear picture of the events of that campaign , In this study, I followed the historical method of collecting the relevant scientific material from its original sources systematically, And try to extract historical facts that serve the study.

The study showed the strength of prince Muhammad bin Ayed, who lured him to attack the state of the Ottomans Empire, And the internal situation in the Asir region before the advent of the campaign, which encouraged the Ottomans to send that campaign, And that the confrontations were between the rulers of Asir and the Ottoman Empire from the beginning, the defect in the organizations eventually its defeat.
