Abstract EN

Social adjustment is one of the most important issues facing migrant societies from one region to another; As the social and human conditions that come as a result of these migrations entail adaptation and adequacy in order to continue life and confront the problem of migration, how the migrant adapts in the region to which he migrates, and various alternatives that must be followed in order for the process of adaptation to be done in the right way.

The paper seeks to shed light on the issue of social adaptation of the people of the Shaykiyya tribe after their migration to Port Sudan, where the paper deals with a group of interlocutors in order to know how the people of the Shayqiyya tribe adapted and the alternatives that were available to them or they found them so that they can be adapted in Port Sudan without the emergence of social problems.

The aim of the paper is to; Know the migration of the Shayqiyya tribe to Port Sudan, and the extent of their adaptation to the new society, and to know the reasons that led to the migration of the Shayqiyya tribe from their areas in northern Sudan to Port Sudan in eastern Sudan.

The importance of the paper appeared in: Adaptation is one of the problems that people who migrate from one region to another suffer due to the difference in cultures, customs and traditions between the two societies.

And among the tribes in the region The paper followed the historical descriptive approach.

Among the results of the paper: the people of Shaykia love to work and are keen on it, and this is evident in their needs, proverbs, poems and songs that glorify those who work.

The sons of Al-Shaqeia migrated to Port Sudan due to the narrow agricultural lands in Diyar Al-Shaikia.

The Shaykiyya Sons, despite their migration to Port Sudan, are still linked to their areas from which they migrated in Diyar A1 Shayqiyya, as they return to it during the (date of hash) season, wheat harvest and festivals.

Among the recommendations reached by the paper are: Encouraging internal migrations because they work to overlap and paradigms of cultures and traditions between the immigrant population and the indigenous people in the region, which leads to the development and prosperity of the region.

Eliminate the obstacles of social adjustment between migrants and indigenous people so that no tribal conflicts occur.

Control of internal migrations so that some areas do not become crowded with migrants and free areas of migrants.
