Abstract EN

The contingency stresses the power system devices and results in transmission lines over- load.

Corrective action is very important for power system security.

Over-load alleviation is a critical problem in power system operation.

Generation shift distribution factors (GSDF’s) for generation rescheduling is discussed as a proposed method for over-load alleviation in this paper.

This method is applied to the National Grid of Sudan (NGS) 77-bus system during medium and light load.

The proposed method is found to be effective for this task and the obtained results are found to be good.
