Abstract EN

The purpose of this Study was to examine the impact of work pressures related to the work environment represented in (role conflict - role ambiguity - overburdening) In the perfor- mance of the workers.The study problem is represented in the exposure of workers in Atbara Cement Factory to a allot of reasons that may lead to work pressures, which may leave psychological and social effects on workers, .The Study aimed at identifying the reflection of the effect of the work stresses on the performance of the working staff at Atbara Cement Factory, The importance of research stems from the importance of the worker in the success of organizations.

Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to it and to identify the causes of Stress, Data were analyzed using the sta- tistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software.

Descriptive and inferential Statistics such as the frequencies and percentages were used to describe the data.

The Study applied Chi square teSt and t-Students teSl ,.The results of the Study : There is a Statistical- ly significant relationship at the level of significance .05 between the role burden and the performance of workers, as the value of the significance reached 0.00, which is less than 05.

also There is a statistically significant relationship at the level of significance .05 between the ambiguity of the role and the performance of the employees, as the value of the significance reached 0.000, which is less than 05.The study recommended the concern with the work environment (ventilation syStcm - room capacity), provision of all facilities that assiSt in work performance, specifying task and assignments for each employee according to his qualifications, ex- perience and making training courses to give the working Staff the skills and experience and improvement of wages and incentives.
