Abstract EN

Recovery from health setbacks - physical or psychological - may not always be the goal of health systems in human societies.

The issue we are dealing with is what can be summed up in the phenomenon of (social stigma), where stigma can undermine social cohesion, and urges social isolation of certain communities, which has spread in COVID-19 even more.

Therefore, stigma is a well-documented global barrier to health-seeking behavior.

Within this trend, the current research tries to investigate whether there is a stigma associated with Covid-19 in Iraq.

To achieve the goal of the research, an 8-paragraph stigma-related scale was built, and after testing its validity and reliability, it was applied to a sample of 336 people using Google Forms because of the spacing procedures.

After conducting the appropriate statistical analysis, the results showed that (14.88%) of the total sample size tended to stigmatize those infected with Covid-19.

The results were discussed, and some suggestions and recommendations were made
