Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to determine the main trends of the published accounting research in the field of accounting education in Libya during the period (2000-2018), and to achieve objectives of the study, the comparative analytical approach has been relied upon, as the trends of the applied approaches and the topics that focused on published research in the field of accounting education in Libya, and its comparison with published accounting research trends in the field of accounting education at the international level.

The study reached a number of results, as it was found that the majority of the published accounting research in the field of accounting education in Libya focused on the descriptive analytical approach.

The results also showed that researchers and those interested in accounting research in the field of accounting education in Libya did not pay any attention to the experimental curriculum and educational resources approach during the study period.

The results of the study also showed that there is a clear interest from researchers in Libya in accounting education research in the field of curricula and teaching methods.

It was also found that there is a convergence in the interests of researchers at the local and international levels with accounting research related to accounting education in the topics of faculty members, students, curricula, and educational technology.
