Abstract EN

Inequalities of distributing the educational resources that some students get compared to others raise many questions concerning the justice in our distribution of educational resources ; such as : what are the criteria according to which we can judge our distribution of educational resources to be just? This paper discusses this issue in reference to one of the most influential current theories of justice ; namely, John Rawls’ Theory of Justice.

This paper starts with a general discussion of Rawls’ theory and its main themes.

Then, the discussion moves to a specific study of Rawls’ principles of distributive justice.

Henceforth, the study moves to how to apply Rawls’ principles of justice as fairness to the realm of educational resources.

To conclude, this paper presents the benefits of using Rawls’ theory as well as the obstacles that might reduce the benefits of that use.
