The Transport sector is considered an important component of the economy and a common tool used for development, as economic opportunities are increasingly related to the mobility of people and commodities.

Several techniques are used to predict and evaluate the economic impacts of Transportation Investments on the Regional Development.

Regional Economic Models are considered the most common and comprehensive approach used in estimating the economic development impacts of large-scale transportation investments.

This research presents the general framework of these models accompanied by an international case study in the United States.

And henceforth, proposing to adapt it in Egypt through an initial perspective of the Regional Economic assessment for an Egyptian corridor Cairo-Alexandria Freeway with the required procedure for its implementation.
