English Abstract

The study examined the reality of tourism and its future in the countries of the Red Sea basin.

The problem of the study was that tourism in the countries of the Red Sea basin faces many difficulties that have so far prevented it from reaching the required level that suits what the Red Sea basin countries possess of the attractions of tourism that makes them one of the leading countries in the field of tourism because it did not occupy its position in the past What is required is a priority industry, and there are clear and integrated development plans for the advancement of this industry, which has negatively affected the provision of an integrated and diversified tourism product rich in tourism activities appropriate to the tourism attractions found in the countries of the Red Sea basin.

The importance of the study lies in the fact that the tourism sector has become an important economic alternative that would contribute to the growth and development of national income is necessary at the present time.

The study aimed to pay attention to knowing the future of tourism in the countries of the Red Sea Basin and paying attention to developing all types of tourism and exploiting them in local tourism, developing infrastructures in the tourism and hotel field, and developing all tourism services in the countries of the Red Sea basin.

The study found that the countries of the Red Sea basin possess many natural resources and tourist characteristics, as well as attractive investment elements in various fields, which are an economic resource that equals oil and gas wealth.

Lack of adequate financing for investment projects in the tourism field.

The diversity of tourism in the countries of the Red Sea basin is religious, historical, archaeological, cultural and therapeutic, and religious tourism constitutes a high percentage of tourism activity.

The study recommended allocating material and human resources for developing the tourism sector.

Encouraging tourism investment in areas that have not reached development, such as historical areas, which leads to the diversification of the tourism product.

The use of modern technologies in the field of tourism and hotel and the use of modern systems that are concerned with global tourism in administrative methods, laws and tourism legislation.
