تقويم محتوى كتب العلوم بالمرحلة المتوسطة في المملكة العربية السعودية في ضوء المتطلبات المعرفية للبرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة بيزا (PISA,2018)‎

Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out to what extent cognitive requirements are available in the field of subjects for the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA, 2018) which have to be available in the content of science textbooks taught in the intermediate stage in Saudi Arabia.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical method where the sample consisted of four 2019-edition science textbooks for first and second intermediate years.

An analysis card was prepared by the researcher and used to analyze the content of the textbooks after assuring reliability and validity .

The results showed that the requirements of the field of physics systems with a mean of (3.44) out of(4) were the most available while the requirements of the field of space systems and earth systems were the least available with a mean of (3.15) out of (4).

For the sub-requirements, the most available was the requirement of the characteristics of matter such as its changes and status and electric and temperature connectivity with a mean of (3.56) out of (4).

The least available sub-requirements were of history of the universe, its size, light year and giant explosion with a mean of (2.3) out of (4), the requirement of change in earth such as movements of plates, geochemical cycles and constructing and destructing powers with a mean of (2.6) out of (4) and the requirement of cells, their design, function, DNA and differences among plant and animal cells with a mean of (2.7) out of .)4
